SILK!!!

Today we are looking at silk. Silk for head scarves, sashes, and whatever your warped little mind can come up with. The Toy Garden is as you would think a toy store, but they sale what are called Play Silks. The kids love them, they use them to do dress up, make all sorts of things out of them.

These silks are 8mm china silk and are hand dyed in a great number of colors and if they can stand up to little kids playing with them pirates should be no problem.

The Toy Garden is local they are in Fair Oaks. So shipping will not kill you. Their stuff is great so take a look and see what will go with your costumes.

Whole bunch of rings fell into my net today. Honest I found them! Any Pirate worth his salt has lots of rings and these will fit most moods.

We start off with a nice little set of copper skulls. Check out this sellers other items lots of fun other rings and they are the only one I have run across that sales copper.

The next set of rings are copies of the ones worn buy Jack Sparrow, and are made by The Master Replicas Company. Don't know how good a copy they are but to be honest they are nice rings in their own right.

This ring looks like a gold coin wrapped in wire. I don't know if it's period or not, but it has a nice look to it.

Today we are hosting sail and heading over to Fabric.com. Now if you have not been to this Lovely website you have been missing out. Their stuff is great, and they are run by the nicest of folks. I have dealt with them for a good number of year and I only have nice things to say about them. If you need fabric whatever kind, this is the place to start. Sign up for their mailing list it's well worth the time. They always have new goodies coming in and something is always on sale.

As you all should know Linen was the fabric of choice for all undergarments, shirts and the like. It was also used for a lot of the coats and pants. Which is nice when the temp reaches over 100 degrees.
